DAY 1

Arrive Ubud

Welcome to Bali, Island of the Gods! We will pick you up from the airport or hotel and transport you to our Ubud homestay where you will be welcomed with cool refreshments while we get acquainted. Depending on what time you arrive you will be able to freely explore around town on your own. Ubud is known to be the cultural center of Bali and this will become apparent as you weave your way through its bustling art markets, hang with the monkeys or stop for a Bali coffee in one of its many beautifully decorated cafes. In the evening we will enjoy the traditional Legong Dance performance before retiring to our rooms for a good night’s sleep.

DAY 2

Ubud – Jatiluwih

45,6 KM

After Breakfast and a safety briefing, we will mount up on our trusty machines and ride slowly out of the culture core, taking it nice and easy while we get used to our bikes. Navigating typical Bali traffic as we make our way onto the less populated roads will be good practice and sharpen our senses. But not to worry, it won’t be long before we can breathe the fresh country air and feel the wind on our faces again. We continue to zigzag our way westward, veering away from the main routes wherever possible to enjoy less travelled roads through farmlands and countryside. After reaching the Unesco World Heritage site Jatiluwih we will enjoy a buffet lunch with a spectacular view before reaching our fabulous mountain retreat. In the afternoon enjoy a guided stroll through the rice paddies and learn about the agriculture of the area. You might even get to ride a buffalo and farm fields like a local.

DAY 3

Jatiluwih – Banyuatis

86,9 KM

There’s nothing like waking up in the hills to the sounds of chirping birds surrounded by lush jungle greenery. After our morning routine we will depart, snaking our way down and around the impressive Batu Karu, through small traditional villages and along forested roads stopping briefly to enjoy a freshly ground cup of joe. Take extra care today and be prepared for a few rough patches. Eventually we’ll pick up some smooth tarmac again and enjoy cruising up to higher altitudes with vistas looking out over the abundant landscapes towards the North Bali Sea. We should expect to arrive at our Banyuatis villas mid afternoon and have some free time for exploring or simply kick back and relax.

DAY 4

Munduk – North Coast

69.8 KM

Today we begin with a short trek to one of Bali’s most beautiful and lesser visited waterfalls and an early start should insure we have it all to ourselves. Bring your swimmers along for a brisk morning shower before returning to the bikes and setting our course. As we make our way up over the twin lakes, we’ll stop to stretch our legs and take in the spectacular panorama then continue eastward across central Bali’s highlands zigzagging along narrow mountain roads, occupied only by the occasional local scooter. There will be plenty of hairpins today and we ascend over peaks and descend through valleys until finally landing on Bali’s northern shores. Our seaside sanctuary awaits where we will enjoy a fresh catch barbeque cooked over hot coals on the beach while enjoying a picturesque sunset to top off our day.

DAY 5

North Coast – Amed

55,8 KM

It certainly wouldn’t be a Bali Treasures experience without scoping out a little local wildlife, so we’ll rise and shine at the crack of dawn today to try and spot some of Bali’s famous spinner dolphins. These playful marine creatures are well known for their high-flying acrobatic displays and close, yet friendly encounters. The local fisherman are well experienced at finding them and with a little luck you’ll have front row seats to their splish splashing performance. After breakfast we’ll continue our ride down the coastal highway giving us the chance to open up the throttle down the straight and narrow. We will stop for lunch in Tulamben, a diver’s paradise where one of Bali’s sunken gems lies just offshore on the sandy seabed. Snorkel out into the turquoise blue waters or if qualified, dive deep to breach and explore the haunting shipwreck.

DAY 6

Amed – Ubud

91,4 KM

On our final day we will visit one of Bali’s most iconic temples and if timed just right, experience a traditional Balinese ceremony taking place. From this vantage point we can gaze out through the infamous sky gate as if we can step through onto the clouds and walk straight across to the mighty Mount Agung. After blessings and prayers, we’ll mount back up on our bikes and cruise, staying off the main island artery and instead opting for the inland scenic route. We should expect to be back in Ubud around lunchtime where our tour is concluded.
