Day 1 – Arrival Ho Chi Minh (SGN)

Upon your arrival in Ho Chi Minh (Saigon), we’ll be there to welcome you and get things rolling! After a short taxi to the hotel you will have some free time to relax and freshen up from your long travels. Dinner will be just a stroll away from the hotel, making it easy for us to enjoy our first meal together and get to know each other. After that, it’s time to recharge and rest up for an exciting first day of riding!

Day 2 – Saigon to Bảo Lộc (200-250km)

Departing Saigon eastward, we’ll quickly hit off-road paths, briefly crossing the highway to explore rubber plantations and picturesque small lakes. There’s an optional off-road challenge; otherwise, we’ll continue on the scenic 55th highway. Arriving in Bảo Lộc town via winding backroads, we’ll enjoy stunning green vistas before settling into our charming hilltop villa for the night.

Day 3 – Bảo Lộc to Buôn Ma Thuôt (~265km)

Day three of our adventure promises an immersive cultural experience as we explore ethnic villages and soak in stunning valley views. Our journey continues along the scenic Tà Đung road, offering panoramic vistas of tranquil lakes. Heading northward, we’ll navigate through backroads, with optional challenges for those seeking an extra thrill. As we approach Buôn Ma Thuột, the landscape transforms into a patchwork of rice fields and rolling hills, providing a picturesque backdrop for our journey. We’ll cap off the day with a delightful dinner featuring authentic ethnic cuisine.

Day 4 – Buôn Ma Thuột to An Khê (~217km)

Day four brings us to Gia Lai province as we venture along scenic backroads. Our route predominantly consists of well-paved roads, winding through the picturesque highland landscapes. Our destination lies in a remote area with limited accommodation choices, adding an adventurous touch to our journey. Along the way, we’ll enjoy long stretches of smoothly paved roads, offering panoramic mountain views at every turn. It’s a day filled with both excitement and serene natural beauty, promising unforgettable moments on the open road.

Day 5 – An Khê – Hội An (~320km)

Day five will be an unforgettable ride through rustic villages adorned with picturesque rivers and lush rice fields and over mountain passes that offer unparalleled views of Vietnam’s stunning landscapes. Immerse yourself in the vibrant farming lifestyle, where every corner reveals a new facet of the country’s rich cultural tapestry. Indulge in refreshing swims in freshwater oasis, a perfect respite from the day’s adventures. As the day winds down, we will arrive in Hội An, a UNESCO Heritage site renowned for its charm and beauty.

Day 6 – Rest Day Hội An (50-150km)

Today’s itinerary is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing us to cater to the preferences of our riders. For those eager to delve into cultural exploration, we’ll head straight to Hội An, where the UNESCO heritage old town awaits our discovery. Alternatively, for thrill-seekers craving adventure, there’s an exhilarating 150-kilometer backroads loop option available. Upon arriving in Hội An around lunchtime, you’ll have plenty of leisurely hours to unwind in the afternoon and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the bustling night market later on.

Day 7 – Hội An to Huế (~175km)

Our adventure continues as we journey to Đà Nẵng to savor some traditional Vietnamese cuisine, tantalizing our taste buds before embarking on the legendary Hai Van Pass. Prepare to be awestruck by the sweeping vistas as we conquer this renowned route. Riding through the backroads of Huế, we encounter a diverse tapestry of scenery, from solemn cemeteries to lush rice fields and ancient religious structures, providing a refreshing change of pace. Tonight, we’ll we’ll indulge in local delicacies for dinner and rest our heads in a charming colonial hotel dating back to 1901.

Day 8 – Huế to Khe Sanh (~212km)

Our day begins with a visit to the vast grounds of the largest Imperial Tomb, immersing ourselves in the rich history of Vietnam’s imperial past. Afterward, we’ll enjoy an early lunch to fuel up for the next leg of our journey. Our path leads us towards the Laos border, where we’ll trace the renowned Ho Chi Minh Trail, a symbol of resilience and determination. As the sun begins to set, we’ll pause to pay homage to history at the historic Khe Sanh combat base, the site of one of the Vietnam War’s most intense battles.

Day 9 – Khe Sanh to Phong Nha (~176km)

Embarking on the Ho Chi Minh Trail in the early morning, we follow the Laos border, enjoying breathtaking views of intersecting mountain ranges. A picturesque journey awaits, with an optional light off-road section for elevated vantage points. By midafternoon, we reach Phong Nha, where our highly acclaimed overnight stay awaits at a charming farmstay nestled amidst rice fields. Renowned for its tranquil ambiance and natural setting, it features amenities like a swimming pool, sauna, small gym, and ondemand massage services, providing the perfect opportunity to rejuvenate while immersed in stunning surroundings.

Day 10 – Phong Nha to Hoàng Mai (~300km)

Setting off from Phong Nha, our journey along the Ho Chi Minh Trail continues, leading us through fast and flat highways that offer mesmerizing views of the surrounding landscapes. Amidst this scenic route, we take a detour to explore Ho Chi Minh’s native village, delving into the rich history and vibrant culture of the region. As the day draws to a close, we arrive at a luxurious hotel, where the promise of hot showers and cold beer awaits, providing a welcome comfort after one of the longest rides of our adventure.

Day 11 – Hoàng Mai – Pu Luong (~160km)

We veer off the bustling highway onto a network of backroads, immersing ourselves in the tranquility of farmlands for most of the morning. The day unfolds amidst scenic vistas, with occasional glimpses of expansive rice fields and lush crops framed by majestic mountain ranges. As the afternoon approaches, our journey leads us to the mesmerizing landscapes of Pu Luong, where we’ll find respite at a meticulously crafted eco-resort nestled harmoniously within nature. Here, we’ll enjoy the comforts of our accommodations while overlooking the breathtaking terraced rice fields below.

Day 12 – Pu Luong to Hà Nội (~160km)

As we bid farewell to Pu Luong, our journey continues through exhilarating mountain passes, treating us to breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. Along the way, we’ll explore villages nestled atop mountains, each adorned with unique limestone formations that add to their charm. Our adventure culminates in the lively city of Hanoi, where we’ll indulge in a satisfying lunch, reflecting on the diverse landscapes and cultural encounters that have made our journey truly unforgettable, filled with moments that will stay with us long after our adventure comes to an end.
